Library Bingo Tips and Tricks

Download the MPL Bingo Sheet, and see below for some helpful tips and tricks to complete it! (Available September 1-30, 2022)

  1. Get a Library card. (Already have one? Make sure it hasn’t expired recently or update your contact information.) You can sign up for a card online here or stop by the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Library.
  2. Check out something that isn’t a traditional book. The Library has movies, CDs, and a ton of other items you can check out – including wifi hotspots. You can also access our Digital Library with your MPL card.
  3. Learn how to say hello in a different language. (Try using Mango Languages!)
  4. Browse the Friends of the Bellevue Library’s Booksale at Bellevue Avenue Branch. Head to the Branch at 185 Bellevue Ave to check out the Booksale and support the Library!
  5. Find something new to watch on Hoopla or Kanopy. You can use your MPL card to access a wide range of movies, tv shows, and more! Sign up here.
  6. Follow the Teen Instagram account. @teens.mpl
  7. Say hello to a Library staffer you’ve never talked to before. Stop by the Main Library (50 S. Fullerton Ave) or the Bellevue Avenue Branch (185 Bellevue Ave) to say hi!
  8. Attend a Library program, class, or event (virtually or in-person). You can find all of our September programs on the Library calendar. You can also check out our program brochure here!
  9. Check out one of the Library’s Senior Kits. (They’re not just for seniors!) You can find out more information here.
  10. Use the Library’s online Local History collection to research a house or building in your neighborhood. You can find more information on the Library’s Local History resources here.
  11. Read the quote above the Bellevue Avenue Branch’s front door. Head to the Branch at 185 Bellevue Avenue to check it out for yourself!
  12. Get a book recommendation from Library staff or one of our online resources. You find our Themed Reading Lists here. You can also find Teen Reading lists on the Teen Instagram account. The Library also has curated lists printed out in the Main Library’s YA Room and Children’s Department, and in the Branch’s Kids’ Place and YA section.
  13. Visit the art exhibit at the Main Library. You can find the art display in the hallway leading to the first floor bathrooms and in the cafe.
  14. Find a Library resource that’s in a different language. We have World Language collections with resources in Spanish, French, Chinese, and more – for all ages! We also have foreign language films that you can check out from either Library location or stream online with Kanopy or Hoopla.
  15. Browse the Library’s free Museum Passes. Where do you want to visit? You can find out more information about our Museum Passes here on our website.
  16. Tell someone you know all about the cool things you can do with your Library card! This one’s easy – go find someone you know and tell them everything you’ve done with your Montclair Public Library card!
