The Literacy Volunteers of America, Essex and Passaic Counties (LVA) provides programs for adults who need help with basic literacy skills or who are interested in learning English. There is also an English Conversation Group that meets every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Main Library’s Conference Room. This is not an ESOL class, rather an informal group conversation aimed at improving your English speaking skills. This group is unaffiliated with LVA.
