Only one (1) WiFi hotspot will be loaned to a household at a time.
The household must not have internet access at home.
Hotspots will only be checked out on the card which the reservation was made on. Hotspots are available at both the Main Library and Bellevue Avenue Branch.
Available for check out by Montclair residents who are 18 years or older with a Montclair Library card in good standing (less than $25 in fines).
Hotspots check out for 28 days.
Upon return of a WiFi hotspot, a cardholder may not borrow another WiFi hotspot for seven (7) days.
Available for check out by Montclair residents who are 18 years or older with Library card in good standing who have school-aged children at home.
WiFi hotspots may be borrowed for ninety (90) days.
Upon return of a WiFi hotspot, a cardholder may not borrow another WiFi hotspot for seven (7) days.
MPL reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who abuse equipment or who are repeatedly late in returning electronic devices.
The Library makes no assurances or guarantees regarding the reliability of the access, connectivity, speed, or overall service of the WiFi.
The Library is not responsible for any liability, damages or expense resulting from use or misuse of the WiFi hotspot, connection of the WiFi hotspot to other electronic devices, or data loss resulting from usage.
If not returned on time, MPL reserves the right to terminate service to the hotspot.
WiFi hotspots returned late incur a fee of five dollars ($5) per day, not to exceed the total replacement cost of seventy-five dollars ($75).
The patron is responsible for damage, loss or theft of WiFi hotspot and its components, resulting in a replacement fee of seventy-five dollars ($75). A replacement fee for a lost power cord of ten dollars ($10) will be assessed.
