Learn and explore the world around us with our new science kits! Each kit contains a practical science experiment, supplemental books to learn more about the subject, and the ability to join the library science team by uploading your findings for scientists around the world to use. Generously funded by the Whitehill Foundation.
Kits are available at both locations and include: Mosquito Habitat Mapper, Globe at Night, Cloud Investigations, Exploring Biodiversity, and Water Quality Monitoring.
Call 973-744-0500 ext. 2232 (Main Library) | ext. 2283 (Bellevue Avenue Branch) or email montcirc@bccls.org to learn about availability and to place a hold. Items can only be picked up at the location they are listed.
Borrowers must present a Montclair Public Library card at the designated pickup location. Only one thing per library card may be borrowed at a time, and the loan period varies per thing. Late fees and replacement costs for damaged things apply. See the full Library of Things policy.
The list of things offered will expand as donations and funding allow. Have a suggestion for an addition? Let us know.
