From April to May 2023, join the Montclair community in reading and discussing “Crying in H Mart”!
“Crying in H Mart” is a New York Times bestselling memoir by Michelle Zauner, best known as the frontwoman for the indie pop group Japanese Breakfast. The book began as an essay in The New Yorker magazine that went viral. It will be available in paperback starting March 28.
“Stories of Korean food serve as the backbone of the book, as Zauner plumbs the connections between food and identity. That search takes on new urgency after her mother’s death — in losing her mother, she also lost her strongest tether to Korean culture.” —NPR
