“Come Craft With Us!” Fall Events on November 15

MONTCLAIR, NJ (November 8, 2022) — On Tuesday, November 15, the Montclair Public Library will celebrate the fall season with crafting events at both of its locations. “Come Craft With Us!” will showcase a variety of fall-themed crafts for all ages.

“Come Craft With Us!” will kick off at the Main Library from 1-4 p.m. Participants of all ages can drop-in and explore a variety of crafts in the auditorium.

At 2:30 p.m., seniors are invited to participate in the Senior Craft Club, which meets every Tuesday. Registration is required.

At 4:30 p.m, adults are invited to participate in “Fun Fall Crafts for Adults” at the Bellevue Avenue Branch where they will create a fall lantern using colorful leaves. Registration is required.

The last event will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m., when children in grades K-3 are invited to stop by the Main Library to create fun autumn crafts during “Fall Drop-in Crafts”.

“Crafting is a wonderful way to engage our community,” says Library Director Janet Torsney. “From drawing and coloring to knitting and origami, creating keeps us in tune with ourselves and the world around us.”

Some supplies will be available on a first come, first-served basis.

By hosting “Come Craft With Us!” and other craft-focused events, the Library aims to grow a community of crafters—from children to seniors—who can teach and learn from each other. To accomplish that goal, the Main Library is seeking volunteers who can commit their time and talents to engaging with seniors during the Library’s weekly Senior Craft Club. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Linda Welch at 973-744-0500 ext. 2221.
