BOOK SALE: October 22–24, 2026

Please read below for all information regarding the 2026 book drive and book sale.

When to Donate:

Sunday, Oct. 11, 1–6 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where to Donate:

Montclair Public Library Main Branch, 50 South Fullerton Avenue

What to Donate:

• Clean and gently used hardcover and softcover books: adult and children, English and other languages, fiction and nonfiction.
• DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, & audio book CDs in their original printed jackets or cases. No VHS or cassette tapes, 78’s, or self-recorded media

What Not to Donate:

We CANNOT ACCEPT anything that is:

• Falling apart
• Moldy
• Heavily underlined
• Otherwise unsuitable for sale

We also DO NOT ACCEPT the following:

• Encyclopedia sets
• Reader’s Digest Condensed books (or similar)
• Textbooks
• AAA travel guides or maps
• Travel guides that are more than 3-4 years old (unless they are very old)
• Puzzles or board games
• Magazines
• VHS tapes (video tapes)
• Music cassettes
• Greeting cards or postcards

Sale Dates:

Thursday, Oct. 22, 12–8 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Bag Sale Day: Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

• Coffee table/ Art books: $4

• Adult hardcover: $3

• Adult paperback: $1

• Adult mass market: 2/$1

• Children’s hardcover: $2

• Children’s paperback: 2/$1

• DVDs/Blu-rays/Audiobooks/CDs $2

• BAG DAY: fill a bag for $10
