MONTCLAIR, NJ (August 6, 2026) — The Montclair Public Library and OddFellows Ice Cream have announced a new community partnership called Summer Reading Scoops, aimed at rewarding local readers and making literacy a little sweeter this month.
Throughout the entire month of August, any community member registered for the library’s Summer Reading Program can present proof of their registration to receive 20% off their order at OddFellows Ice Cream, located at 450 Bloomfield Avenue.
To celebrate the collaboration, the library and OddFellows are introducing weekly ice cream and book pairings, matching an ice cream flavor to an adult novel and children’s book.
“We are thrilled to team up with OddFellows to keep the summer reading momentum strong through August,” said Library Director Radwa Ali. “Our goal is always to foster a love of reading in our community, and partnering with a local business like this adds a fun, tasty incentive for readers of all ages!”
Montclair Public Library’s Summer Reading program is open to all ages and runs from June 29–September 4. Library card holders can register by visiting montclairlibrary.org/src and tracking their reading for a chance to win prizes including local gift cards, S.T.E.M. kits (Children), a Kindle (Adults), and much more!
